WEB Dangote Fertiliser Limited (DFL) has established the largest Granulated Urea Fertiliser complex in Africa, occupying 500 hectares of land in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos, Nigeria. The $25 billion plant has the capacity to produce 3 million metric tonnes of urea fertilizer annually.
Addressing Local Challenges
The plant aims to address the problem of low per-hectare fertiliser usage in Nigeria by ensuring timely availability and distribution of high-quality fertiliser to farmers. This initiative aims to boost agricultural productivity and reduce the country's reliance on imported fertiliser.
